Hello, I am Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson currently serving my second term on Richland County Council. I serve on an 11 member council which are single meber districts with about 33,000 contituents each. I am currently serving on Central Midlands Council of Governments, Regional Transportation Authority, Columbia Museum of Arts, Teimulus Ad hoc Committee, The National Multi-Modal Transportation Steering; Women of NACo, National Foundation for Women Legislators, and Chair of the Administration and Finance Committee. I have approximately 40 neighborhood association in my district and I frequently visit these meeting regularly. I am an Ambassador for the Red Dress campaign to fight heart disease as well as Lutheran Family Services to help our women vetereans. I recently help to promote HIV/AIDS campaign to educate young girls and women in the prevention andaids, couped with Teen Dating Violence.
