Dear People --

It's been a while. So much has happened. So much "change" -- so many ups and downs. So much to learn, so much to discover.

I just wanted to check in with you guys. We put a lot of energy into our USA.CAN vision -- and for me, that vision is still alive -- through, for sure, it has morphed a couple of times....

But you all remember the excitement of the election. You remember so well the utter thrill of that night, that victory speech. You remember the inauguration, and the incredible hope and energy and vision and dream and fireworks....

Well -- I have heard it said that "Obama is a Rorschach test". We saw in that guy what we wanted to see. But now -- almost two years in -- some of those progressives are getting pretty heated about their disappointment. You know all about that stuff...

Well -- for me, the way it worked is -- I loved Obama because of the spirit of community. For me, it was about his "big ears". He said "It's not about me, it's about you". He said "It's not red states and blue states, it's the United States".

That's what I wanted to hear. That's STILL what I want to hear.

I think it's what the 86% of Americans who voted in the March CNN poll who said that "the government is broken" want to hear.

We need an answer. And I think the answer is "us". I think it's "voice of the people". I think it's unity, the spirit of "we". I think it's "yes we can" -- still alive in millions of people, who know in their souls it's true, and nothing will ever make them doubt it....

So, real quick, I just wanted to show you something.

I've been working with the "Coffee Party" for the last couple of months. I've been excited about them for a while. If I get a chance, I'll tell you more about that.

But right here, right now -- they've got a petition going -- on National Unity.

For me -- this resonates. This is where I want to go, it's what I want to do. It's why I loved Obama -- and always will, though I think it's now up to us to carry the ball....

But take a crack at this. Sign the petition. Get into this new framework. Take a look.
